نکات ظریف در نگارش مقالات دانشگاهی

هنگامی که 2 عدد متوالی در یک جمله ظاهر می شوند، برای واضح تر بودن متن یا جمله را بازنویسی کنید یا یکی از اعداد را به حروف بنویسید:

جمله را دوباره یا 1 عدد از اعداد را برای وضوح بنویسید.

Study participants were provided twenty 5-mL syringes.

Avoid: In the cohort of 1500, 690 were men.

Better: In the cohort of fifteen hundred, 690 were men.

Or: In the cohort, 690 of the 1500 individuals were

اختصارات یا نمادها (abbreviations/Symbols) ممکن است به دنبال اعداد در جمله به کار برده شوند. در این صورت، اگر احتمال دارد که مفهوم جمله به درستی مشخص نباشد باید جمله را بازنویسی کنید:

Avoid :There are 2 D₂ dopamine receptor isoforms.

Better: The D₂ dopamine receptor has 2 isoforms.

Avoid: The investigators were able to identify 3 γ -aminobutyric acid-mediated sites.

Better: The investigators were able to identify 3 sites mediated by γ -aminobutyric acid.
